Airports

Rome has two airports – Fiumicino (Leonardo da Vinci) and Ciampino.

Fiumicino

Fiumicino is the main airport in Rome and is very well connected with the center during the day by an express train. The express train runs between Fiumicino Airport and Stazione Termini which is Rome’s main train station. Tickets cost costs € 9.50 and the entire journey takes approximately 30 minutes. The express train departs from and arrives at Termini Station at track N.27 and runs every day from 6:30 am until 11:30 pm.

Ciampino

Ciampino is the smaller airport in Rome and is mostly used by budget airlines and charter flights. In order to get to the Centre from Ciampino Airport, you will need to take COTRAL bus and get off at Metro A: Anagnina Station. From here, you can reach Termini Station. The COTRAL bus runs every 30 minutes until 11:00 pm. After this time if you wish to reach Rome from Ciampino Airport, you will need to take a taxi.
