Find your Rome special tourist ticket

If you are wondering about Rome’s public transportation (bus, tram, metro lines, train) that offers the most economical options, here is a list of all of your in city options along with the special buses and boats that will allow you to discover the most famous sights and attractions during your holidays in Rome.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION TICKETS

Biglietto Semplice B.I.T. (time integrated ticket)

Price: 1.00 Euro

B.I.T tickets can be used for any public transportation in Rome. They are valid for 75 minutes of use and allow you to take any transportation option to reach your preferred destination within that 75 minutes of time. Your tickets will need to be stamped when you begin your travel. Keep in mind that if you take the metro, your B.I.T. ticket will need to be stamped a second time.

Biglietto Giornaliero B.I.G. (one-day ticket)

Price: 4.00 Euro

B.I.G. tickets are valid for 24 hours and can be used for any means of transportation. These tickets must only be stamped one time when you first begin your travel. Of course, if you choose to use the metro, your B.I.G. ticket will need to be shown to the controller at the entrance of the metro line.

! WARNING: This ticket is valid only until midnight on the day that it is stamped!

Biglietto per 3 Giorni B.T.I. (3-day tourist integrated ticket)

Price: 11.00 Euro

These tickets are valid for 3 days in a row and can be used for any public transportation. They will need to be stamped when you first begin your travel and shown to the controller at the entrance to the metro line if you choose the metro as your means of transportation.

Biglietto Settimanale C.I.S. (tourist one-week integrated ticket)

Price: 16.00 Euro

C.I.S. tickets are valid for 7 days in a row and operate on the same principles as the B.T.I. tickets. Only the owner is required to sign the card.

SPECIAL TOURIST BUSES: fares and tours

110 OPEN

Price: 16.00 Euro

Reduced ticket: 7.00 Euro (kids from 6 to 12 years old)

Free ticket: kids under 5 years old

This bus departs every 10 minutes from the Piazza del Cinquecento which is the square in front of the Termini Railway Station. Special bus tickets may be purchased at the Infopoint Trambus located on the square or purchased directly onboard. If you purchase tickets onboard, the cost increases an additional 0.50 Euro. The 100 Open Bus crosses approximately 40 of the most famous sights of Rome and stops at various points including Quirinale, The Colosseum, Bocca della Verita (Mouth of Truth), Piazza Venezia, Piazza Navona, St. Peter’s Square, Piazza Cavour, Ara Pacis, The Trevi Fountain, Via Veneto and then travels back to Termini Station. The bus is considered at “jump on/ jump off” tour and allows visitors to stop at any of the above mentioned locations so long as you use the ticket on only one day.

The tour lasts approximately 2 hours and a hostess on the bus can provide a guided tour in different languages when needed. The 110 OPEN ticket is valid for the entire day but for only one day at a time.

ARCHEOBUS

Price: 13.00 Euro

Free ticket: kids under 5 years

Much like the 110 OPEN, the Archeobus departs every day including holidays. The bus leaves from Cinquecento Square every 20 minutes from 9:00 until 16:00 and stops at a variety of famous Roman archaeological sites. Sights in the tour are found along the Appian Way and include Circo Massimo, Mura Aureliane, San Callisto and San Sebastiano Catacombs, Tempio di Romolo, Circo di Massenzio.

There is a hostess on the Archeobus also that describes each sight in different languages. This tour lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes and is valid for the entire day.

If you purchase the ticket on board there is an over price of 1.00 Euro.

110 OPEN + ARCHEOBUS (JOINT TICKET)

There is the possibility of a join ticket for 24.00 Euro per person. The joint ticket is valid for 2 days.
